There was this horrid stench from Bev's office. Actually it started on Friday. We called P&E who did pretty much nothing except to say..."Yup, smells in here." Oh they did take apart some ceiling tiles to see if something had died up there.
Bev had an interview with a prospective employee. She couldn't do the interview in her office, the smell had gotten rather overpowering by the afternoon. The prospective employee did get a wiff however, and she said, "Smells like a dead rat, yup, it does."
The smell was overwhelming this morning after the office was locked up all weekend. Bev kept referring to the Credenza. I guess no one, until today, wanted to move it. Well today they moved it.
Now we all know what dead and decomposing rats smell like.
My question was did she really want to hire someone who was that familiar with the smell. I know now, but I'll never admit it, and if ever I go for an interview and the office of my prospective director smells like that, I think I'll just smile and say it smells like cabbage as I turn to leave.
