This is designed for use with a 4.0 browser or better and makes use of frames and mouseover effects. Run your cursor over the images at the left window to see these effects.

This set up is a bit more complicated. It involves frames and mouseovers. You will need an understanding of HTML and Javascript. You can use my code and just insert your own links where you see , for example, a href="yourhomepage.html" by inserting the link you wish to target in the place of the psuedo page name I've used.
Your link may look like this <a href="myhomepage.html" > Target="frame2" is already coded into the left document. This would allow your home page to open into frame2, the body frame here, and this would keep your contents menu (the welcome at your left) visible at all times.
Perhaps you don't have a poetry page nor an art page but would like to use this. Email me, tell me about your site and what you'd like to have as a replacement button and I will try and make it for you.
The Webmaster's Reference is very helpful in explaining frames.
Important points to remember:
All links to pages within your site and within these frames need to have the target parameter pointing to "frame2".
All links to other sites or anything outside of your frames needs to have the parameter target="_top" (will open the framed page to a new page sans frames) or target="_blank" (will open an entirely new page while leaving your original page there) written into the code following the link.
You can download a zip file containing all the documents and images you will need for the frames and coding for the mouseovers and the buttons on your left.here.
The only items not contained in the zip are the buttons that you see on the right half of the frame. To take these just right click on an image and choose save as. Please don't forget to take my logo button.
