In order to use this as the frames you see here you need seven (7) HTML documents
(dont worry they are very small). These are for the two corners, the top, the
two sides and the center. The main frame (the 7th) document can be viewed in MSIE
by clicking on View - Source in your toolbar. Netscape users can access it by
going to View - Pagesource in the toolbar. The other six can be viewed by right
clicking on the area and choosing view source. It is actually the instructions
to the browser on how the frames will open. I"ve included a zip file of the documents
you need which you can download below. When using frames on a page with links
you will want other pages to open outside the frames. You will need to enter the
code target="_top" after any links you place in your code. Frames may look intimidating
but are very easy once you understand how they work. I suggest visiting this site
The
Webmaster's Reference for more information on frames. It's really helpful.
You can download the zip file here.
This should include all of the images and html documents you will need. Create
a folder on your hard drive and when you are asked where to place the unzipped
files browse your HD to that folder. Unzip in that folder and click on the main
document "ivy1.html and this entire view will appear in your browser window.
You can replace my text here with yours.
If you would like
this border but prefer not to use frames click here
to view the border sans frames.
Don't forget to read the Terms of Use here
and make sure to give me credit on each page you use my graphics.
It would be nice if you dropped me a note too. : )
